Nokia Acquired Symbian Limited for Nokia Mobile OS

According to the news of “Nokia acquires Symbian Limited”, Nokia has acquired Symbian OS for its mobile phones. We know that Nokia is one of the world's largest cellular manufacturing company and Symbian OS was also world's best OS company, that is now acquired by Nokia.

According to the news, “All conditions to Nokia's offer to acquire Symbian Limited have been satisfied and it has received valid acceptance of greater than 99.9% of the total Symbian shares that Nokia did not already own. Symbian is the software company that develops and licenses Symbian OS, the market-leading open operating system for mobile devices.” it means all the terms & conditions has been completed in the favour of acquisition; says Symbian Limited itself.

All the employee about 1500 of Symbian Limited will be the employee of Nokia from 1st of February, 2009. Along with Nokia has announced to launch its N97 phone on the technology of Symbian OS. About the Nokia N97 there are much acceptation because it can be like iPhone in the market. The Symbian OS will be used as open-source from 2010 as per the Nokia announcement. Another .1% share which is “Symbian shareholders Sony Ericsson, Panasonic, Siemens and Samsung for 264 million euros (S$510 million), or 3.65 euros per share” will finish till June 2009.

All the acquisition most probably will finish till 1st half of 2009. After it the company will move in the market with N97 on the Symbian OS.

Adobe Flash Player will be for iPhone?

In a press release adobe has announced to launch, “...Adobe® Flash® Player 10 and Adobe AIR™ for ARM Powered® devices...” for windows mobile device. On this occasion Gary Kovacs said who is the general manager and vice president for Mobile and Devices at Adobe, “Video created for the Adobe Flash Player is the leading video format on the web today, and this collaboration with ARM is another important step towards bringing the complete web experience to mobile devices worldwide. We are pleased to work with ARM and the other industry leaders in the Open Screen Project, to make browsing and applications as rich and powerful in mobile as they are on the desktop.”

Further in the Press Release it announced that the Flash Player 10 will launch for, “mobile graphics and video capabilities on ARM platforms and to bring rich Internet applications and Web services to mobile devices and consumer electronics worldwide.”

It is expected to launch till second half of 2009. The Adobe Flash will be for iPhone or not is undecided because iPhone already has rejected mini opera operating system for iPhone which support Flash. Now, we have to see what will happen with iPhone. It will be without Adobe Flash or with Flash?
